With the arrival of the Cherry Blossoms and the changing of the seasons, the 2012 MLB season has officially arrived. This year I am back in Washington, D.C. with two new stadiums to explore and the opportunity to find new endless possibilities of creative photographs to produce. With the Washington Nationals off to a great start you can already feel an excitement in the fans of what the summer and fall could bring. More tk…

Sporting KC v D.C. United for Getty Images
A few weeks ago I had the chance to photograph one of my favorite sports…football (or as we Americans call it: soccer). While living in New York City last fall, my coverage of the NBA lockout prevented me from photographing every single Red Bull game I had on the schedule. But with the NBA season in full swing, I was finally able to get back on the pitch. Even though it had been almost two years since the last match I had photographed (Real Madrid v LA Galaxy @ the Rose Bowl), I was able to quickly dust off the rust and start producing quality photographs. The game was relatively slow besides a few major shots on goal here and there, but it was full of nonstop reactions by the members of Sporting KC. In the end Sporting KC defeated the D.C. United by a score of 1-0.

NHL Hockey for Getty Images
A small selection from some of the Washington Capitals games I have covered over the past few months for Getty Images. And on a side note…in addition to my coverage of the NHL, I have had the privilege to photograph some amazing assignments. As soon as the work is published, I will share it with everyone here. 2012 March Madness Selection Show for Georgetown University
A few weeks ago I had the chance to document the Georgetown Men’s Basketball team watching the 2012 NCAA Selection show on CBS. The extreme low light/backlight situation in the room made life extremely interesting and a challenge to get the photographs I wanted..but I was able to make the best of a tough situation & the client was happy. So everything was good in my book. And having grown up in DC and watching Georgetown basketball games all of my life since my father attended Georgetown, this was an amazing opportunity. More tk…
