Divisional Playoffs – Houston Texans v Baltimore Ravens

On Sunday I photographed the AFC Divisional Playoff game between the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens for Getty Images. We had an amazing team of photographers to work the game.

Since there were three of us, I headed upstairs with my 600 for the first quarter and then covered the opposite end zone from the action to protect against a possible pick-6 due to how competitive this playoff game was building up to be. Before the game I spent some time photographing the NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell while he held a Q&A with fans and then spoke to the members of the media.

2012 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic – New York Rangers v Philadelphia Flyers

On Monday I had the enormous privilege to cover the 2012 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic in Philadelphia for Getty Images. This was by far one of the most amazing sporting events I have ever covered or attended. What made this game even more fun for me was that I was the designated “wonderer.” This meant I had the freedom to go on a tour of Citizens Bank Park to capture the aura of the game from as many different unique perspectives as possible. Looking forward to hopefully having the opportunity to cover this game in the future.

Historic Landmarks of DC: Amir Khan

A few days ago I was assigned to spend the afternoon with Unified Light-Welterweight Champion of the World Amir Khan as he toured some of the historic landmarks of Washington, D.C. It definitely felt like a welcome back to the world of Washington, D.C. editorial photography after spending the past four years either traveling or living in California and New York. These are a few that I found as I started to work up my second edit from the day…the top photo once again proved to me why it is a great idea to shoot dual jpeg and raw while on assignment. And it is great to be back working in DC!
