I haven't climbed Mount Everest or even run the Badwater. I haven't seen the northern lights as hard as I try. I have however, been fortunate enough to live out my life's passion through my work. I love traveling, meeting new people, and experiencing different cultures. I strive to create powerful still and moving imagery to illustrate my experiences stemming from my soul as an artist. I have made it my life's goal to be as creative as possible and hopefully in doing so will convey the world through its subtle beauty. I have a particular passion for capturing photographs that convey the world of sports through its subtle beauty.
Raised in Washington, D.C., I earned a BA from Colgate University with a double major in Marine-Freshwater Science and Fine Arts & Art History. After spending a winter working in the mountains of Colorado, I decided to follow my heart into photography. I have had the privilege to attend the Eddie Adams Workshop Barnstorm XXIII as a student in 2010 and be the 2011 Sports Photographer Intern at Getty Images in New York City.
Since returning to Washington, D.C., in the winter of 2011, I have worked independently as a freelance photographer in the Washington metropolitan region and beyond. In addition, I serve as the official team photographer the Washington Capitals NHL hockey team. My work is continually distributed and published in many major metropolitan daily newspapers, magazines and publications worldwide, including: Getty Images, Sports Illustrated, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and ESPN - amongst many others.
I am available for assignments worldwide and can be reached at any time of the day or night by phone or email. I currently call Washington, D.C. home when not on assignment.
